Designed as a one-piece welded assembly for added strength, Mopar's Hitch Receiver for the Jeep Patriot & Compass match your vehicle's towing capacity. Covered with two-layered, E-coated paint finish to resist rust.
1000-lb tow rating, 150-lb tongue weight rating,(without Trailer Tow engine oil cooler) or 2000-lb tow rating with Trailer Tow engine oil cooler. Hitch plug included. 1 1/4" opening, Hitch Ball & Ball mount sold separately.

Very sturdy

I have not had a chance to have this hitch installed, but the build quality is very good. It is quite heavy and very sturdily built.
