Front Camera Kit for 2018-2021 Wrangler JL with 8.4" Uconnect Touch Screen Head Unit
Overview:
Easy to install, grille-mounted front camera kit for the 2018+ Wrangler JL. Includes everything needed to install the kit, no wire splicing, no screws. DOES NOT WORK ON 4xE 392 or DIESEL JL WRANGLERS. MUST USE JT CAMERA INSTEAD. CLICK HERE FOR 4xE 392 and DIESEL MODELS
Requires a Tazer JL or Tazer JL Mini to activate the "cargo camera" input on your screen. Works on the 8.4 Uconnect only.
If the Tazer JL is present, this camera input can be activated at any time, in any drive mode, and at any speed, as long as you want. It makes a perfect trail camera as well as for parking.
Cargo camera input is not a Hi-Definition input like the backup camera, so the video quality will not be as good! This is a high-quality standard definition (480i) camera. There is no way to add a high-definition cargo camera input to the JL radio.

A great add on for my Jeep. Now I can see where to go when cresting hills off road.

Provides a clear picture

Actually provided a better view of the road while driving in heavy down pour. (Not that I recommend watching the video screen instead looking at the windshield)
ConsMounting on the grill required fabricating a mounting bracket instead of cutting the grill.
Bull-bar blocks close-in down view. Might move the camera to the bull bar.
