Harder to install than I expected

The instructions were not well written and illustrations were not clear to detail. I like the looks of the splash guards and they fit very well, in spite of taking more time than I expected. The instructions show removing the rear wheels, which you don't need to do if you have a small drill to do the work with. I would buy them again.

this product is well worth the purchase. I installed it myself, and it took me only about an hour to do the front and back. It says to take the back tires off, but i never had to do that. I did however have to drill two holes for the front ones but that was pretty easy as well.

The rear splash guards do not fit nicely, they weren't molded to fit tight up against the wheel well. There's a gap on the inside of the wheel well where the splash guard drops down a couple inches and doesn't meet up to it. So not impressed with the look!

Install was a bit tedious, especially the backs having to take off the rear tires but it was worth the couple hour effort. They highly compliment the looks and will provide fine protection.I didn't use the plastic rivet per flap that require a special tool, went to Fleet Farm in Hudson, WI and got two black plastic rivets that had an external screw that locked it in place. Worked just fine.They're in the automotive trim component hardware section. I also siliconed around the upper outside where they lay against the firewall to prevent crud from drooling down behind. (Marine Clear Silicone in a tube)
ProsThe factory couldn't have made them look any better.
ConsInstallation may beyond some peoples capability.

Items fit well. Not made in the USA thou. A little disappointed about that. I did have to go to the auto store to purchase different plastic fasteners. I used the ones sent on the left rear one. But after buying different fasteners. The others went on very fast. I still had to remove the rear tires. But no big deal. In all it took about an hour to install them. And most of that time was on the rear left. I learned faster ways for the rest.

ConsDifferent fasteners would be a big help. And made in the USA would be better!

I had previously bought some flaps for my Yukon and they went on in less than 20 minutes. These Jeep flaps took me over an hour to get installed, so if you are thinking a simple garage job, be prepared to remove at least the rear tires to be able to drill the holes necessary for the installation. Also, they require a pop-rivet tool and what they send is plastic rivets, so if you mess one up using a tool designed for metal rivets, you are stuck without the right number of parts. Overall, they look good, but not an easy process to get them installed at all.

Prosinstalled easily with existing screwholes. have to wait until tire rotation to install bottom screws on rear flaps. Price is well worth fit and function.

These items fit great. You will need a rivet gun for plastic rivets. I didn't have one, I installed mine without the plastic rivet and they fit well until I was able to borrow one to install the rivet.

don't buy these if you are not mechanically inclined. fronts took all day to install. hardware that came with the guard was inadequate, had to take a trip to the hardware store. rears went on fairly easy. the rivet that comes with the guard did not fit any of the rivet guns i have. basically a PITA!!!
Prosthey look nice if you take your time to install them correctly
Consthere has to be an easier install, do the people that make these ever install them on an actual vehicle?????

New instructions needed

The instructions are horrible. The rivets they show you prying out on the rear guards are actually hex head screws that need to be reused. Also no one has a rivet gun for plastic rivets in their garage. I thought I could use a gun for aluminum rivets but I couldn't. I had to make a second order for the rivet gun and pay more for shipping than the gun was worth. I don' know why they show you cutting an X for the top hole in the rear guards when a one quarter inch hole is required for the bolt.

I purchased both the front and rear splash guards for my 2015 Grand Cherokee. There isn't a part number shown for this review, but the picture seems to show the fronts, so I'll comment about them. The install went fairly smoothly, despite the vague instructions. I'm VERY "old school", and prefer a few words of instruction, as well as an actual picture or two, as opposed to the current fad of CAD drawn "pictograms", and an assumption that you understand what the drawing is trying to tell you. At least these parts are fairly simple, and their concept is easy to understand. The only real issue I had, was understanding the new style plastic rivets that are used to secure the inner fender liners. They have to be cut off, not pried out or unscrewed. The screws included with the splash guards do replace them, however, so there's no real issue in that respect.
ProsGood fit, follow the body contours well, hang low enough to deflect most of the crud that will be kicked up by the tires.
