Roof Rack for 2011-2021 Grand Cherokee WK2
OVERVIEW:
Chief Products WK2 Roof Rack provides the pinnacle of performance for roof rack systems on the WK2 (Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2011-2020). It delivers industry leading load ratings (150kg/330lbs dynamic & 600kg/1,322lbs static) in an extremely light weight and low profile design. Most impressively, the modular design provides an unprecedented amount of configurability, allowing you to mix-and-match components to create exactly the rack system you want.
We've utilised the latest manufacturing techniques and proprietary aluminium alloys to keep the overall installed weight low and accomplish a degree of fit-and-finish you have to see in person to truly appreciate. The smooth top, low profile design and hidden fasteners means we've delivered a roof rack with almost no wind noise, (amazingly even with the sunroof open). Best of all, we made it extremely easy to mount accessories - whether you're using t-nuts that slide the entire length of the planks; or our industry leading Tie-Down Plates that easily slide and clamp between the planks. If you're looking for a top-quality place to carry extra gear on your next adventure, there's no doubt we've got you covered.

* WARNING *
FOR MAXIMUM SAFETY DO NOT EXCEED MANUFACTURERS ROOF WEIGHT LIMITS. Our load ratings represent the maximum mechanical forces our roof rack system can withstand before failure. Our load ratings do not address vehicle safety during high-speed manoeuvres, or changes to vehicle dynamics caused by a higher centre of gravity.
* CAUTION *
For maximum safety, loads should be evenly distributed and properly secured to avoid shifting during transport. Before using your roof rack, it is important to familiarise yourself with the proper load securing techniques and be constantly safety oriented. Please note, all of our load ratings are based on an evenly distributed load.
REVIEWS
The install was easy to handle even for one person (careful with the factory nutserts), it looks incredibly sleek, and it's very versatile.
I've only had it on a month or so, and I've had my travel bin/bag, paddle board, spare tire and Hi-Lift jack (the Yakima kit works with the Chief T-Nuts) all mounted on the rack with no problem (at different times of course), and I've had 3 adults sitting on top of the rack at once, with no bending or weight issues at all.
Initially noise was an issue, but that was because I didn't follow the instructions closely enough. Chief's customer service stepped in and guided me through the right process of installing the windbreakers, and I've had absolutely zero noise since the re-do, with or without gear on top, and hitting 85MPH. You really do need to be precise with the breakers (making sure they overlap and are evenly spaced). After my experience, both with the rack itself and with the responsiveness and problem solving of the folks at Chief, I am a customer for life.
